Yes, marketing articles from 2004 to the present time. Thanks.

Have you tried the industry sites?

A great resource is Advertising Age:

Hope this helps!

which marketing managers can use the world wide web to enhance business

Lemme Guess??? Business 101??

I think you've posted all the questions from Chapter 5. Maybe if you READ the chapter things would come easier. Or perhaps took the time you're using to type the questions… to THINK about the questions. (They aren't hard questions). Whats truely disturbing, is even with my 10 years of retail and marketing experience… one day you're gonna be my boss.. and that sucks!!

CNN talked about how two missiles were fired onto Hifa and how 8 people were killed…yet Israel fired HUNDREDS of missiles and bombs, killed HUNDREDS of civilians, and their deaths are seen as nothing on the American news.

deaths are regrettable on both sides, but why is the American news so biased? Face it, Israel wasn't firing all these bombs and killing all these innocent people to free their two soldiers. Their not defending their country, their just killing innocent people. Lebanon is basically wiped out. They took it too far and yet they aren't seen as terrorists. Baffels my mind I tell ya.

I've been watching the occasional news report … I see a city in Lebanon levelled to dust … literally nothing left but corpses and debris.

Then they show an Israeli woman in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood where a rocket fell on her car and it was new … so she's upset.

Such disparaging images … and yet the news media continues to hype how difficult this is on Israelis.

Almost as good is the fact that Arab countries are not complaining! and Syria is pretending that nothing happened too fricking embarrassing for the little bastards.

Well, I wouldn't count out CNN holding back reports of mass protests from abroad.

While at work i would like a phone that i can dock on a station or charger and plug in my earphones and listen to live football games or the news? Do either of the phones allow this to happen?? Heard the Samsung Instinct has live t.v. but also heard the phone sucks!!!

You definately can with the Blackberry Storm, at least in the UK.

I have Sky sports 1/2/3, Sky 1, ITV, C5, C5 + 22 other channels for under £10 a month on mine..

In fact was just watching Villa vs Everton on it.

i saw a vid on youtube ( it was the news) and they were talking about the Iphone 3g and said it might be pre-paid

Trippy is right. You cannot get the 3G iPhone on prepaid. You can only get the old iPhone on prepaid.

I'm interested in news organizations that cover world news in a direct way without opinions. I was wondering if there was a news source that isn't dominated by US/Middle East/Iraq coverage. I don't care about plane crashes, killing sprees, sensational stories, or other things that only affect a few hundred people or less. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I don't know of any here in the states, because our media is set up to make their profits off ratings and the news is of secondary importance to the ratings. They will take one item and build it up and create a lot of different angles and nuances on it to build up public interest and get them hooked on the story.- They will take one murder or one kidnapping out of hundreds of thousands that occur in this country every year and run it for weeks- almost everyone in the country will be talking about it, and yet these are things that affect less then a dozen or so people. One of the best examples is out of all the earth shattering news they could have shown in their nightly coverage a while back , we had to be told every detail of someones 16 year old pregnant sister. I am amazed at the level to which our society has sunk.

Ok, i have a class in Media.. and have to know how news acts as a window upon the world… and to what extent this is true??

any help? D:

That's a very big question.

"What I told you is true, from a certain point of view."
– Ben Kenobi

News acts as a window upon the world by showing that nothing is really anonymous anymore. The Chinese would like to show you the preparations they're making for the Olympics, but they don't want us to know about the protesting Tibetans. With so much media abroad, the government can't suppress this kind of information anymore.

The only four places that figured this out and take appropriate measures are: North Korea, Iran, Cuba and Venezuela. No reporters are allowed in these places without government "screeners" going over your materials before you leave or broadcast it. They also don't let their own people have access to the internet or satellite tv.

Keep them dumb and happy so they don't rebel against the government.

I want to become a Political Analyst for a TV Station like Fox News. Some people call them Political Contributors, Media Pundits, etc.

Does anyone know how to go about this? What types of schooling do you need?

A bachelor degree at a reputable school would be a good start. Most of all, you’ll need the right connections.

Seems to me like washington dems, tasked with bringing sensibility to the Iraq policy situation, just got themselves dragged around the political "battlfield" like a dead hector roped to achillies' chariot.

It's friday now so I have to say the democrats in washington were knocked totally off their feet for the whole week.

They were down for the count and never even got back up to their knees, did they?

Are they going get up off the mat next week or do you think they might as well just take a vacation first?

They should take a moment to reflect on the great things about our country and our free society where they can voice their opinions. By the way their criticism of Petraeus, only boosted his approval rating, and the fact that the presidential candidates would not condemn the ad, only showed them for what they are.
