I work at an immigration law office in which we have palestinian clients who entered the united states in the 70s and 80s using a travel document issued to them by the jordanian government. the travel documents were good as a one time use, so the travel document is expired. Most clients are green card holders with no passport. They are unable to get any passprt from the palestinian authority becuase of all the political issues going on in the country, and a jordanian passport wont be any halp, since israel doesnt allow a jordanian to enter the country. one of the few ways for an arab to enter israel is to either have a USA passport or a proof of paletinian passport. does anyone else know of anyother way of entering the country.

What its really amazing is that a palestinian wants to go to Israel. Period.

I desperately want to go to Israel but I am afraid of the dangers for an American Jew. Are some areas safer to stay than others?

I have been to Israel 11 times in the last two years on business and I can assure you that you don't have to be afraid to go there more than you are afraid to walk the streets of new york or wherever you live it is a safe, secure and democratic country that is governed by the rule of law unlike the lawless countries in most of the region. People are great there. As for the posters telling you it is unsafe–wonder if THEY were ever there. And I am not Jewish–not that it matters

I just want to know peoples thoughts, because I'm planning to go on holiday to Israel with three others, we're fairly young 18-23 and we want to travel around independently. Is this wise?

Just be extra careful when you travel into West Bank and areas around Gaza Strip.

Tour agencies are expensive and do not offer much. I have a group of 7 Christians from Singapore who want to go for about 10 -14 days. Can anyone advise me. Thank you.

You don't need this trip to go to the “terrorization Israeli country".

I want good companions that check out and are competent and polite and worthwhile.

You can find several good English/American tour operators in Israel at the link below and request free brochures from them as well. Good luck.

in other sections, many people like and even love Israel and say positive about Israel. You can't tell me that they are all Jews. No. This section is totally BIASED!!!
i know the answers that i will get are from Hamas or Arabs or anti-Israelis.
I shouldn't had asked!

I think you are wrong on that my friend, have a look on them World Reports and you'll realize the truth:
http://www.worldpress.org/Americas/2706.cfm
and this here is the 2008 BBC World Report
http://www.globescan.com/news_archives/bbccntryview08/

Does that look as "positive" to you?
I hope I have answered your question.

Y!A has sent me a letter stating that THIS QUESTION WAS WRONGFULLY REMOVED AND HAS NOW BEEN RESTORED. Do you see it anywhere–HAS IT REALLY BEEN RESTORED as Y!A claims?

i haven’t seen this question, but what happens when they restore a question that was wrongfully removed, they restore all the points that you lost.make sure that they have done that.
they should have also restored the question, e mail them and ask them. Its true, a question like this should never have been deleted

i think yahoo.com, the israeli travel section does not intentionally prevent people from visiting the country, but they can do more about it, by monitoring all those hateful anti Semitic comments, false questions and answers.99.9% of those members have never visited the country and have been brainwashed into hating it and passing the wrong information.
and only allow real travel questions in this section and have a separate political section, they should delete any ones questions not related to travel
