Since Most American Politicians Are Taken on a Free Tour of Israel, Is the Support for Israel Surprising?
Most American politicians, all the way from the County level to Congress, are given a free tour of Israel all paid for by Jewish groups. Because these are done for "educational purposes" these trips are not even supported as lobbying efforts. Given this corruptpt practice, is it surprising that almost all American politicians support Israeli policies, no matter what?
Well that's not all. There's AIPAC publicity and money. Conversely some political leaders like Sen Fulbright, Sen Charles Percy, Rep Cynthia McKinney and Rep Paul Findley,, all had their political careers destroyed because of their defense of Palestinian rights.
