can I travel to Israel without being arrest because I am a Syrian Canadian?
Hey everybody, my name is Mike. I am Syrian but I live and work in Toronto Canada as I have the Canadian citizenship. I want to travel to Israel to do a pilgrimage in Jerusalem but I'm not sure if the Israeli embassy will give me a visa to travel to Israel as a Canadian or maybe the Israeli custom officers will not allow me to pass to Israel if they know that I am Syrian even though I could use my Canadian passport.
You shouldn't worry about it, with a name like Mike and a Canadian passport you will pass customs in a second. You don't need a visa to travel Israel if you show the passport control agent your Canadian passport.
Have fun.

Yes. You have nothing to worry about man. Enjoy yourself there! you are welcome like everyone.
(Unlike the reverse. Syria has a bounty on the head of every single Israeli solder, male or female.) But recent peace talks between Israel and Syria have been good!!
Syria doesn't allow people to enter with Israeli passport. But you are allowed to go to Israel. Just be ready to answer some questions.

Israel is very progressive.
I have seen people from Lebanon who were there being questioned.. they got let in.
if your passport doesn't even have a Syrian stamp they probably won't even know unless you tell them.

What sort of pilgrimage is that, which makes you spend your money in a child-slaughtering nation? Trust me, God doesn't want you to go there at this moment.

Israel is a well developed democracy, unlike Syria Lebanon and other underdeveloped arab country that can deny you a visa even if you just visited as tourist the supposed enemy country,so you can go there without any problem

Either you are Canadian or Syrian. No man can serve two masters.
I am so sick of immigrants that don't want to become what they chose to swear allegiance to.
Instead they won't to change where they go to where they came from.
Buy a ticket to Syria and live in Damascus. You will become a part of history soon.

Shalom Mike.
There is only one intelligent way to know for sure. You have to speak first with the local Israeli embassy in Canada.
Whoever imagines that one can get through Israeli security just by waltzing in with a Canadian passport and a foreign name is uninformed.
Don't even consider misrepresenting your background! The Israeli security staff will figure out that you are Syrian (and know a lot of other info. about you) before you can say "duty free".
If you are sincere about wanting to visit, plan ahead, and allow time to be approved for entry to the country.
