A question about invading forces illegally occupying another country is hardly suitable for the Travel section. If questions about the main headlines on every UK news programme is not a Current Event, I don't know what is.

Maybe not the travel section, but perhaps Y!A should create a subsection within Current Events dedicated solely to primary stories.
